Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to manage accurate and timely payroll processing for its expansive Las Vegas region, including 14 hospitals and affiliated centers. You will oversee time and attendance in UKG and drive the full payroll cycle in Workday, with data entry, auditing and processing responsibilities.

Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF), strong attention to detail, and 3–5 years of payroll experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three to five years’ experience in payroll required.
• Intermediate MS Excel (proficient in VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and If statements).
• General knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for Nevada's largest healthcare provider, The Valley Health System, across 14 hospitals and multiple facilities.
• Oversee time and attendance data within UKG ensuring hours interface with payroll system.
• Utilize Workday to manage the full payroll cycle: data entry, auditing and processing.
• Create custom reports and reconcile payroll data using Excel.

Job Description: This position is part of the team responsible for processing the payroll for Nevada's largest healthcare provider, The Valley Health System, a Universal Health Services company. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of 14 hospitals throughout the Las Vegas region, Northern and Western Nevada, Free Standing ER's, and surgical centers. As a VHS Payroll Coordinator, you will oversee time and attendance data within UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) ensuring hours are interfaced with the payroll system. You will utilize Workday to manage the full payroll cycle, including data entry, auditing and processing. Intermediate Excel skills are required to create custom reports, reconcile payroll data and track payroll variances.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Three to five years’ experience in payroll required.

Techical Skills: Computer proficiency includes Intermediate MS Excel (must be proficient in VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and If statements.

Other: General knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
