Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a Help Desk professional to manage day-to-day operations for the Valley Health System Help Desk. You will document calls, track resolutions, and strive for first-call resolution to ensure reliable user support across the VHS network.

The ideal candidate has an associates degree or equivalent experience, plus 2–5 years of desktop and network support in a help desk setting. Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience in computer science or related field.
• Certification as a computer maintenance/repair professional or equivalent.
• Two to five years of basic desktop and network technical support experience in a help desk role.
• Proficient in troubleshooting telephone and desktop equipment systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the Valley Health System Help Desk.
• Document calls and problem resolutions, aiming for first-call resolution.
• Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping and user communication.

Job Description

Responsible for the day to day operation of the Valley Health System Help Desk. Answers and documents calls placed
to the help desk, documents problem resolution, and strives for first-call resolution for customers relying on the VHS
help desk.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent related work experience.

Experience: Two to five years of basic desktop and network technical support in a help desk capacity

Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting telephone and desktop equipment systems.

License/Certification: Certified professional in computer maintenance and repair or equivalent work experience.

Other: Healthcare experience preferred.
