TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking an experienced Accounting Associate to join our centralized accounting team supporting multiple franchise locations across several states. The role involves hands‑on bookkeeping, payroll processing, and month‑end activities to maintain accurate financial records.

Requirements include 2+ years of bookkeeping or related experience, payroll experience preferred, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience
• Payroll processing experience preferred
• Proficiency in basic bookkeeping and accounting procedures
• Experience reconciling bank and credit card accounts
• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered

Responsabilités

• Record and maintain day‑to‑day financial transactions accurately and timely
• Process payroll for multiple locations, including hours, deductions, and PTO
• Review payroll info for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies
• Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll reporting
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable and month‑end close
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Prepare internal reports using Excel
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
• Communicate with managers to obtain necessary information
