Responsibilities

• Record and maintain day‑to‑day financial transactions accurately and timely
• Process payroll for multiple locations, including hours, deductions, and PTO
• Review payroll info for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies
• Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll reporting
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable and month‑end close
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Prepare internal reports using Excel
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
• Communicate with managers to obtain necessary information

Pay: $20-$25/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, this is an in-office position

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, we don't just offer jobs—we offer opportunities to grow. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our centralized accounting team supporting multiple TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise locations across several states.

This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on bookkeeping and payroll experience who is comfortable managing recurring accounting responsibilities independently. The Accounting Associate will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, and supporting the accounting team with month‑end activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely
• Process payroll for multiple locations, including reviewing employee hours, payroll adjustments, deductions, reimbursements, paid time off, and other payroll‑related items
• Review payroll information for accuracy and follow up with location management regarding discrepancies or missing information
• Maintain employee payroll records and assist with payroll‑related reporting
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Assist with month‑end close procedures, including account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Review transactions for appropriate documentation and accounting classification
• Prepare internal reports using Excel
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Communicate with managers and other team members to obtain information needed for timely and accurate accounting and payroll processing
• Handle confidential payroll, employee, and financial information with professionalism
• Assist with accounting projects and other responsibilities as needed

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience preferred
• Previous payroll processing experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting procedures
• Experience reconciling bank and credit card accounts
• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered
• Experience with accounting and payroll software preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize work, and meet recurring deadlines
• Ability to identify discrepancies, research issues, and follow through to resolution
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative accounting team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll, employee, and financial information
