Job summary

Two Men and a Truck International Inc. in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an experienced Accounting Associate to join our centralized accounting team supporting multiple franchise locations.

The role emphasizes hands-on bookkeeping, payroll processing, and month-end activities, with responsibilities across accounts payable/receivable, tax filings, and internal reporting. This in-office position offers growth opportunities and teamwork within a local franchise network.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Payroll processing experience preferred.
• Associate degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Process payroll for multiple locations, including reviewing hours, adjustments, deductions, reimbursements, PTO.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns.
• Assist with month-end close procedures and reconciliations.
• Prepare internal reports using Excel.
• Communicate with managers and team members to obtain information for timely processing.
• Handle confidential payroll, employee, and financial information.
• Assist with accounting projects and other responsibilities as needed.
