Job summary

Hawaii Care Choices is hiring a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to manage full cycle payroll and employee benefits, ensuring timely, accurate processing and regulatory compliance. You will educate staff on benefits and handle inquiries with a compassionate, service‑oriented approach.

Primarily monday–friday work hours, with potential after-hours as needed. Requires an associate degree in accounting or related field and 2+ years payroll/benefits experience; open enrollment and wellness initiatives

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of payroll and benefits processing experience.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full payroll processing including wages and deductions.
• Manage employee benefits programs and open enrollment.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Process reimbursements (mileage, cell phone) through payroll.
• Maintain accurate employee records and reconcile deductions.
