Job summary

Remedy Staffing in Honolulu is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll & HR Specialist to support the Human Resources team. You will manage payroll administration while assisting with benefits, compliance, employee records, leave administration, and HR programs.

The role requires strong payroll expertise, excellent organizational skills, and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment. In-state applicants only as interviews are expected soon.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in payroll and human resources.
• Experience with payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage all phases of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review payroll reports and maintain payroll records and documentation.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Assist with audits, including retirement plans, workers’ compensation, and compliance-related audits.
• Support benefits administration, including employee inquiries and open enrollment activities.
• Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, TDI, workers’ compensation, and other leave programs.
• Maintain HR records, personnel files, and compliance documentation.
• Support HR policy updates, employee communications, and HR programs.
• Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and various HR administrative functions.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and other HR-related documentation.
• Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
