Job summary

CFS, located in Sherwood, Oregon, seeks an AP & Payroll Specialist to manage weekly union payroll and full-cycle accounts payable. This hybrid role supports executive leadership and can grow into HR responsibilities while maintaining core financial records in Viewpoint Spectrum ERP.

Ideal candidates have hands-on payroll experience in a union or construction setting and can work independently in a small team. Hybrid schedule includes in-office and remote Fridays.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll processing experience, ideally in a unionized or construction environment.
• Direct accounts payable processing experience.
• Proficiency with Viewpoint Spectrum or similar construction accounting software.
• Proven ability to work independently in a small, collaborative office setting.

Responsibilities

• Weekly Union Payroll: Process weekly payroll for approximately 50 union employees, applying certified payroll standards, wage rates, and union fringe benefit rules.
• Accounts Payable Management: Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice coding, matching, approval routing, and weekly check disbursement runs.
• ERP System Administration: Maintain accurate payroll master data, vendor records, and job-cost postings within Viewpoint Spectrum ERP.
• Executive Leadership Partnership: Partner directly with the Controller and senior management to support daily accounting operations and administrative needs.
• HR & Special Projects: Assist with cross-functional administrative projects, with the opportunity to expand into human resources, onboarding, and benefit administration as the role evolves.

About The Role

This position serves as a core accounting and administrative professional for an established, growing organization located in Sherwood, Oregon. Reporting directly to the Controller, the AP & Payroll Specialist manages full-cycle weekly union payroll processing, handles end-to-end accounts payable, and collaborates closely with executive leadership on general financial and operational tasks.

Operating on a hybrid schedule (with work-from-home Fridays), this high-visibility seat offers long-term growth into human resources responsibilities while maintaining core financial records within Viewpoint Spectrum ERP.

• Proven ability to work independently in a small, collaborative office setting.


• Location requirement: Wilsonville, Oregon, able to work in office 4 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in prevailing wage, certified payroll reporting (BOLI, LCPtracker), or union trust reporting.

Compensation & Benefits

• Target Base Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year


• Work Location: Sherwood, Oregon (Hybrid: On-site Monday–Thursday, Work-from-Home Fridays)
