Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Payroll Analyst to support the payroll process in a multi-state environment. You will work under the Payroll Manager, ensuring adherence to payroll policies and procedures while delivering accurate compensation for employees.

The role requires 2–5 years of payroll experience, proficiency with PeopleSoft payroll, and knowledge of federal/state/local payroll laws. This is a full-time position based in Houston, with opportunities to contribute to audits and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting or related field.
• Certification in Payroll Practices or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2–5 years of payroll experience.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll and Payroll Tax requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll in PeopleSoft North American Payroll module.
• Act as the payroll subject matter expert for assigned client base.
• Audit and review pay data for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.
• Export time from attendance systems for payroll processing.
• Review timesheets for accuracy and manager approvals.
