Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking an Associate Payroll Analyst to support accurate, timely payroll operations in a complex, multi-state environment from our Hinckley Parkway location in Cleveland, OH. You will analyze transactions, maintain data integrity, and resolve issues while partnering with internal stakeholders.

The role emphasizes process improvements, SOP updates, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure regulatory compliance and payroll accuracy across the organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working experience in a corporate setting.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• 2+ years of Payroll experience in multi-state in high volume environment.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related business administration.
• CPP Certification.
• Project management experience.
• Ceridian Dayforce system experience.
• Additional language skills would be an advantage.
• Experience working for a global and diverse company.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including multi-state taxation, incentives, equity payouts, retroactive adjustments, and year-end reconciliations.
• Maintain and audit payroll data for accuracy; analyze error reports and collaborate with system owners to ensure data integrity and proper tax configurations.
• Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues including overpayments and tax discrepancies; provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
• Support onboarding and training of new payroll team members; maintain SOPs reflecting current processes and best practices.
• Act as SME for assigned payroll functions; provide high-quality support via ServiceNow and foster cross-functional relationships.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation; collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements for accuracy and compliance.
