Aston Carter is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Lewisville, TX to manage multi-location payroll across bi-monthly and weekly cycles for 300+ employees. The role supports union and nonunion processes, requires strong Excel skills, and ensures accurate tax, deductions and compliance in a high-volume environment.

The position is contract-to-hire and fully onsite, with benefits and a collaborative payroll team. You will contribute to ongoing process improvements and ensure timely payroll operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in payroll processing with daily manual calculations.
• Experience with bi-monthly and weekly payroll cycles.
• Ability to process payroll for 300+ employees per week.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax, deductions, and garnishments.
• Experience with multi-location payroll across locations or jurisdictions.
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Process daily manual payroll calculations with high accuracy.
• Perform weekly corporate payroll adjustments ensuring changes are reflected in pay.
• Execute end-to-end payroll processing for bi-monthly and weekly cycles.
• Handle payroll for at least 300 employees per week.
• Manage and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy before submission.
• Administer payroll tax calculations and compliance with regulations.
• Process deductions and garnishments per policies and law.
• Support union and nonunion payroll processes as needed.
• Use Excel tools to analyze, validate, and reconcile payroll data.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve data issues promptly.
• Maintain payroll documentation for audits and reporting.
