MatchBukh Talent Solutions is conducting a confidential search for a Payroll Administrator with one of our clients in San Mateo County, CA. The role is full-time, direct hire, on-site with some flexibility after 90 days, and offers a $90,000 annual salary plus great benefits.

The successful candidate will process biweekly payroll, manage timekeeping and payroll records, administer Paylocity, and support California payroll compliance and reporting. Collaboration with Finance and HR is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of California wage-and-hour requirements.
• Experience with payroll accounting, reconciliations, and benefit deductions.
• Proficient in Paylocity or similar payroll/HRIS systems.
• Nonprofit and grant-funded payroll experience a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Process accurate and timely biweekly payroll.
• Manage timekeeping, payroll records, employee changes, and benefit deductions.
• Administer Paylocity and related payroll/HRIS systems.
• Prepare payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and labor allocation reports.
• Support California payroll compliance, audits, and financial reporting.
• Partner with Finance, HR, and department leaders to resolve payroll questions.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of solid payroll administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of California payroll regulations and wage-and-hour requirements.
• Experience with payroll accounting, reconciliations, and benefit deductions.
• Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information.
• Paylocity or similar payroll/HRIS experience; Paylocity preferred.
• Nonprofit and grant-funded payroll experience a plus.
