Job summary

RiseMe is hiring a Payroll Specialist in Rancho Cordova, CA for a full-time, in-office role. You will support payroll processing, HR coordination, and related accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate payroll and compliant records. The position collaborates with management to maintain regulatory compliance and improve processes.

The role also covers accounting duties, including invoicing, AR/AP, and month-end closes, with a strong emphasis on data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of payroll experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-state payroll preferred.
• Accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with payroll/accounting software (e.g., Paylocity, QuickBooks Desktop).
• Experience handling confidential employee and financial information.
• Experience supporting HR/benefits administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll accurately and timely.
• Review timecards, overtime, leave balances, deductions and adjustments.
• Ensure payroll records are accurate and compliant across states.
• Coordinate year-end payroll activities and W-2 reconciliation.
• Generate invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections.
• Process accounts payable and employee expense reimbursements.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
