Job summary

RiseMe in the United States (Texas) seeks a Payroll/HR Compliance Specialist to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will support HR initiatives and coordinate with Accounting and Operations.

The role handles weekly payroll, audits, W-2s, onboarding compliance, and confidential records using ADP and MS Office. We seek a candidate with 3+ years of payroll/HR experience, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of HR and payroll processing experience, preferably in a QSR, retail, or full-service restaurant environment.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with ADP or similar payroll processing systems.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, payroll tax requirements, and payroll best practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in person
• Experience processing payroll for a large, multi-shift workforce
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-payroll audits and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure payroll accuracy before final approval.
• Process wages, overtime, bonuses, allowances, deductions, garnishments, retroactive adjustments and off-cycle payments with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, federal and state payroll regulations, and company policies.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and timekeeping issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain employee payroll records to include direct deposit and pay card information while demonstrating the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Coordinate with Human Resources, Accounting, and Operations departments regarding payroll-related matters.
• Prepare payroll reports, audits, and supporting documentation as requested by management for financial reporting and assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and payroll reconciliations.
• Maintain and oversee compliance with new hire onboarding, I-9's, and WOTC compliance supporting Human Resource initiatives Required Qualifications.
