Job summary

CV Resources, Inc. is seeking an Accountant to join the finance team in Oakland. You will handle payroll, accounts payable, and cash receipts, and support timekeeping accuracy and month-end close activities. The position offers a salary of 80k-90k DOE.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will review timekeeping, maintain payroll data with HR, and assist with reconciliations and audits, while helping to improve financial systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Payroll experience or CPP designation required.
• ADP payroll and timekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience with project-based accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review timekeeping entries for payroll accuracy.
• Partner with HR to maintain payroll data integrity.
• Process semi-monthly payroll and related entries on time.
• Research and resolve payroll questions from managers and employees.
• Prepare monthly closing entries and reconciliations.
• Help develop and improve financial systems and processes.
• Build ad hoc financial and operational reports and analyses.
• Support year-end audit requirements; assist with reconciliations.
