Job summary

East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC) is seeking an Accountant to handle Payroll, Accounts Payable and Cash Receipts, ensuring timely posting of time in the timekeeping system and accurate month-end closings.

Under the Accounting Manager, you will review timekeeping, process semi-monthly payroll, assist with year-end audits, and develop ad hoc financial reports. Strong Excel skills and confidentiality are essential; CPP preferred or payroll experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years’ accounting experience.
• Payroll experience or CPP required.
• Experience with ADP payroll and timekeeping systems; Abila MIP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze timekeeping entries each pay period for accuracy.
• Collaborates with Human Resources department to ensure payroll data integrity.
• Process semi-monthly payroll and accounting entries accurately and timely.
• Research and resolves questions from managers and employees related to timekeeping and payroll.
• Provide backup to Accounts Payable and Cash Receipts processes.
• Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
• Provide year-end support for auditor requirements.
