Payroll Accountant

3 month contract

Must Haves:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
5+ years experience in accounting, general ledger and payroll (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
Working knowledge and research capabilities of applicable local, state and federal laws pertinent to benefit administration, and familiarity with FMLA, CFRA, CA SDI, ADA, OSHA, COBRA, and ERISA.
Microsoft Excel (intermediate level, including use of charts, graphs, and pivot tables) and Word.
Software Knowledge: Great Plains, Workday
Must have flexibility in work hours to ensure overlap with CA team

Job Description:

The Accountant 2, Payroll processes semi-monthly payroll through Workday and the integrations to process garnishments, 401(k) contributions, FLEX and Commuter plans, and Health Savings Plan. They create time tracking reports and other miscellaneous payroll reports. They prepare journal entries and reconciliation schedules related to payroll, benefits.
