Job summary

BELEN Network is recruiting for an experienced Payments Operations & Fraud Manager to support a global digital payments function. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in payments operations, fraud management, incident response, chargebacks, and payment performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in payments, fraud, financial operations, payment service providers, card schemes, or retail payments.
• Demonstrated fraud-management experience within the Americas.
• Hands-on experience managing payment incidents, operational issues, and investigations.
• Strong understanding of the card payment lifecycle, including authorization, authentication, settlement, chargebacks, and fraud.
• Experience working across global or cross-regional teams.
• Strong stakeholder-management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to analyze operational issues and communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong documentation, process-management, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of coordination for payment-related issues and escalations.
• Investigate payment incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead fraud investigations and improve fraud-prevention processes.
• Monitor chargebacks, disputes, payment failures, and authentication issues.
• Partner with internal teams and external providers to resolve issues.
• Identify recurring problems and recommend process or system improvements.
• Support initiatives to improve payment acceptance and checkout performance.
• Review payment and fraud metrics and translate findings into actions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, CX, data, and fraud stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain payment operations procedures and documentation.
• Assist with vendor, provider, and acquiring-partner performance.
• Ensure payment operations align with compliance and internal controls.
• Support global initiatives involving the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
