The Clearing House in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Payments Operations Specialist to ensure payments are processed with the highest quality and timeliness. The role requires working a set schedule to provide 24/7 coverage for TCH customers.

Hours are 9 AM–7 PM on weekdays with overtime and occasional weekend/holiday hours. The candidate should have banking experience, Mainframe and Windows systems familiarity, and strong regulatory and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business-related field or 5+ years’ experience.
• Experience in Banking or Financial institutions.
• Available to work weekends and provide coverage when needed.
• Experience with Mainframe and Windows Distributed Systems.
• Strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal/external customers.
• Knowledge of clearing and settlement functions and card networks (EMV).
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word).

Responsabilités

• Execute all bank settlements and cut-offs.
• Respond to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform scheduled activities to meet critical time-tables.
• Provide functional support for in-house applications.
• Respond to NACHA and ECCHO standards.
• Handle settlement reconciliation inquiries for CHIPS, ACH, SVPCO, and RTP.
• Review and maintain procedural documentation.
• Resolve issues via the internal tracking system.
• Support weekend testing when assigned.
• Escalate application concerns to subject matter experts and management.
• Maintain industry certifications.
• Execute monthly reporting for management and customers.
• Assist in ad hoc projects and new product launch operations.
