Job summary

The Clearing House is seeking a Payments Operations Specialist to support products and services and ensure transactions are processed with high quality and timeliness. The role requires a set schedule to provide 24/7 coverage for TCH customers, with hours from 9 AM to 7 PM on Mon Tue Wed & Fri; overtime and weekend/holiday hours may be required.

The ideal candidate has a business-related degree or 5+ years in banking/financial institutions, with experience in mainframe and Windows distributed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business field or 5+ years of practical work experience.
• Experience in Banking or Financial institutions.
• Able to provide weekend coverage and extended hours as needed.
• Experience with Mainframe and Windows distributed systems.
• Fast-paced environment with time-sensitive priorities.
• Attention to detail to meet policies and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers.
• Knowledge of clearing and settlement functions.
• Operations background with trade processing, settlement, reporting and regulatory rules.
• Documentation of procedures in formal systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute all bank settlements and cut-offs.
• Respond to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Execute scheduled activities to meet critical time-tables.
• Provide functional support for in-house applications.
• Respond to NACHA and ECCHO standards inquiries.
• Address settlement reconciliation for CHIPS, ACH, SVPCO, and RTP.
• Review and maintain procedural documentation.
• Resolve issues in the tracking system.
• Support weekend testing when assigned.
• Escalate application concerns to SMEs and management.
• Maintain industry certificates.
• Produce monthly management and customer reports.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and new product launches.
