Job summary

GTE Financial in Downtown Tampa is seeking a proactive Payment Operations Specialist to manage daily ACH and payroll deduction files in line with NACHA rules, OFAC, and federal/state regulations. The role also handles domestic and international wires and related in-clearing checks, supporting members at Community Financial Centers and remote channels.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with BSA and AML requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
• Min 1-3 years' experience or combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
• Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and other Federal laws (e.g., Patriot Act, OFAC, AML or related).

Responsibilities

• Process ACH files in established timeframes.
• Verify and save daily Federal Reserve ACH Wire settlements.
• Audit postings for account accuracy.
• Process ACH exceptions, NOCs, disputes, and adjustments within required timeframes.
• Handle end-to-end check processes and balancing of daily in-clearing files.
• Respond to member and staff inquiries via email, phone, or mail.
