Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring a Payments Operations Specialist to ensure accurate processing of payments across ACH, wires, and other channels. The role covers OFAC screening, fraud monitoring, and reconciliation, with collaboration across support, accounting, and compliance teams.

The position is fully remote, based out of Pittsburgh-area preferences, and requires 3–5 years in payments operations. Responsibilities include daily payment processing, exception handling, reporting, and maintaining

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in payments operations or related financial services function.

Responsibilities

• Process daily payment transactions (ACH, wire transfers, foreign checks, and other types).
• Monitor payment queues, exceptions, and suspicious activity.
• Review OFAC alerts and document rationale.
• Monitor ACH and wire activity for fraud indicators and anomalies.
• Research and resolve payment exceptions and misdirected funds.
• Perform daily reconciliation of payment transactions against general ledger.
• Compile billing data based on volume and fee schedules.
• Generate routine and ad hoc reports on payments activity and audit requests.
• Maintain procedures and tracking tools used by Payments Operations team.
• Partner with internal teams (support, accounting, compliance, risk).
• Provide backup support and training on payment processing topics.
