Job summary

Beyond Finance is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Operations Associate to support the Business Operations Department in settling unsecured debt for clients. The role collaborates with creditors, agencies, and law offices to negotiate savings and resolve delinquent accounts.

You will manage the daily settlement pipeline, communicate with creditors, assemble required documentation, and verify payments. Strong literacy in MS Office and Salesforce is expected.

Qualifications

• Undergrad Degree preferred or 3-5 years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Outlook with an ability to learn our systems.
• Outstanding interpersonal, detail-oriented and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, Prompt, and Reliable.
• Salesforce experience preferred.
• Boast quality customer relations skills and phone etiquette.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proven track record of working cooperatively and effectively with various work styles, levels of management and support staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily settlement pipeline and exception reporting for the payment setup and clearing process.
• Communicate with creditors and agencies to clear payment exceptions and uncleared payments.
• Support the acquisition of required documentation to successfully remit a payment.
• Request proof of payment from collection agencies, creditors, and our third-party payment processor company.
• Utilize banking ledger accumulation to determine funds availability for remittance and ensure adequate balances.
• Uphold knowledge of departmental functions to respond to inquiries and provide support.
• Scan documents and attach them to client accounts in Salesforce.
• Multitask with attention to small details and meet deadlines.
• Provide support in word processing, typing, and proofreading.
• Flex-work to manage priorities and changes.
• Handle special projects and escalation issues.
