Job summary

Atlantic Federal Credit Union seeks a Payments Specialist I to support member payment services and ensure accurate, efficient processing. You’ll handle debit card issues, wire transfers, EFT originations, and fraud monitoring while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related financial services, operations, payment processing, or administrative experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the aptitude to learn new payment platforms.
• A collaborative mindset balanced with the ability to work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Processing payment-related services such as debit card troubleshooting, wire transfers, EFT originations, dispute processing, instant payment services, and fraud monitoring activities.
• Maintaining and updating payment-related systems and services, including account setup, access changes, and service maintenance.
• Assisting members and employees with payment-related inquiries through multiple channels (phone, email, chat, text, and other digital platforms).
• Researching and resolving issues while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Conducting quality reviews of payment-related transactions and documentation to maintain accuracy and operational integrity.
• Supporting departmental initiatives, projects, and process improvement efforts designed to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
