Vermont Federal Credit Union is seeking a Payments Specialist to support ACH, Inclearing, wire processing, Real Time/FedNow payments, and other payment functions for retail and commercial accounts. Based at the Kennedy Drive Operations Center in South Burlington, VT, this role focuses on accurate processing and collaborative service.

The position emphasizes compliance, customer service, and teamwork, with an hourly range of $25.42–$38.13.

Competenze

Three to five years of similar or related experience.
Two-year college degree or certification or completion of vendor training.
Work involves confidential and discreet communication with others; requires diplomacy and tact.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Proficient with general office equipment and spreadsheet software.

Mansioni

Clear share draft exceptions by reviewing history and activity; return/pay decisions and fee assessment.
Reconcile ACH files; research unposted debit items; process returns and maintain origination files.
Provide compliance and processing support on Inclearing, wire processing, and ACH; handle disputes.
Process return checks, notify about overdrawn accounts, monitor for potential fraud.
Post foreign check deposits and foreign exchange items as needed; manage related letters.
Deliver service aligned with the Credit Union's Core Values.
