Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in New York is seeking a Payment Operations Manager to lead a team of Analysts and own end-to-end payment operations, including ACH, wires, RTP, and international payments.

You will partner with Engineering, Product, Accounting, Risk, Legal, and CX to maintain compliance programs, drive incident response, and apply AI to improve efficiency.

The role blends hands-on ticket work with strategic leadership, accountability for SLAs, and building a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in payment, banking, or treasury operations.
• 2+ years directly managing a team.
• Deep knowledge of ACH/Nacha, wires, RTP.
• Experience managing bank/payment partner relationships.
• Experience with compliance programs and audits.
• Strong leadership and ability to handle ambiguity.
• AI fluency and willingness to apply AI tools.
• Nacha AAP or AFPP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Payment Operations team, setting SLAs and coaching.
• Own operational relationships with banking and payment partners.
• Execute day-to-day compliance programs and support SOC 1 audits.
• Drive incident response for payment operations and post-mortems.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to inject operational insights.
• Promote and implement AI-driven efficiencies.
