Job summary

Justworks in New York City seeks a Specialist, Payments Operations to ensure money moves safely, accurately, and reliably across payment workflows. You will own critical payment tasks, investigate issues, and apply data-driven judgment to resolve problems.

You will improve processes by identifying recurring issues, proposing better workflows, and adopting automation and AI-enabled tools while maintaining necessary controls and collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in payments operations, fintech, or financial operations.
• Familiar with payment processing or money movement (ACH/Wires/RTP).
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision making.
• Comfortable with automation and AI-enabled tools.
• Attention to detail and control compliance in financial transactions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Execute payment operations accurately and on time across processing, funds movement, reconciliations, and related workflows.
• Investigate and resolve payment issues using data and sound judgment.
• Follow controls to protect customers and escalate issues when needed.
• Identify recurring problems and suggest better ways of working with teams.
• Adopt new tools and AI-enabled workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency
