Job summary

Tabs is the AI Operating System for Revenue, serving North American B2B merchants with ACH-first payments and growing card capabilities. The Payments Operations Manager will own day‑to‑day PayOps, driving accuracy, resolution, and process improvements.

You’ll work with Senior Payments Operations Lead to manage merchant operations, disputes, reconciliation, and exceptions as Tabs Pay scales in-house. Prior fintech/payments experience is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payments operations, reconciliation, dispute management, merchant operations, or adjacent function.
• Demonstrated execution of payments workflows (reconciliation, disputes, ACH returns) at fintech/processor.
• Strong detail‑oriented work in high‑stakes environments.

Responsibilities

• Process merchant exceptions, holds, reserve adjustments, and activation per policies.
• Run daily/periodic reconciliation across processor, bank, ledger, and merchant records; elevate breaks.
• Manage dispute and chargeback workflow: gather evidence, track deadlines, ensure timely submissions.
• Process ACH returns and negative balances per timelines.
• Investigate and resolve merchant‑reported issues; escalate when needed.
• Monitor merchant activity against thresholds and flag reviews.
• Keep runbooks, decision trees, and logs current for the team.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements to leadership.
• Track KPIs and report PayOps status and performance.
• Support cross‑functional work with Finance, Engineering, Support, and Sales.
