Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in payments operations, reconciliation, dispute management, merchant operations, or similar.
• Experience executing payments workflows (reconciliation, disputes, ACH returns, merchant management, exceptions).
• Detailed work record in high-stakes environments with strong accuracy and process discipline.
• Ability to follow defined processes and propose practical improvements without constant oversight.
• Strong judgment on escalation needs and clear communication of decisions.

Responsibilities

• Process merchant exceptions, holds, reserve adjustments, and activation per policies.
• Run daily and periodic reconciliation across processor, bank, ledger, and merchant-settlement records; escalate breaks.
• Manage dispute and chargeback workflow: collect evidence, track deadlines, ensure timely submissions.
• Process ACH returns and negative-balance events per timelines.
• Investigate merchant-reported issues and escalate when needed.
• Monitor merchant activity against policy thresholds and flag needed reviews.
• Maintain runbooks, decision trees, and operational logs for the team.
• Identify inefficiencies and document improvement recommendations for leadership.
• Track KPIs and prepare regular PayOps status reports.
• Support cross-functional work with Finance, Engineering, Support, and commercial teams.
