Job summary

Garner is seeking a Sr. Operations Analyst, Payments, embedded in the Claims team. You will own the payments function end to end, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while building scalable processes and a capable team.

Your work will shape member experience as Garner grows and introduces new payment capabilities. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering, work with diverse internal stakeholders, and lead a small team while remaining hands-on during spikes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a strategic problem-solving role in analytics/ops
• 2+ years building within operational teams
• Ability to break down complex processes and implement solutions
• Experience coaching or leading others in a hands-on role
• Proficiency with quantitative analysis and data modeling in financial contexts
• Experience with SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and no-code/low-code AI tools
• Strong ownership, detail orientation, and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and contribute beyond scope
• Mission-driven mindset with accountability and integrity
• Comfort with AI tools as part of daily work and outcomes-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Own daily payments function to ensure accurate, timely, and controlled member payments
• Scale payment operations for new products as they launch
• Use data analysis, process mapping, and automation to improve payments efficiency
• Partner with Product and Engineering to design and launch payment capabilities
• Develop reporting systems and identify trends across payment KPIs
• Analyze and resolve complex payment-related issues raised by clients, members, or internal stakeholders
• Serve as cross-functional owner for payments across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Account Management
• Lead and develop a small team while staying hands-on during peak volume
