Cedar is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead two Payments teams as we evolve our payments platform to scale across products. You will partner with Product and Commercial, own third‑party vendor integrations, and help set technical direction with staff and principal engineers.

You won't need to code daily, but you will review designs, ensure reliability and performance, and drive initiatives that improve observability and payment experiences for millions of users.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional experience in software/engineering roles.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience owning third‑party vendor integrations.
• Experience owning business‑critical production systems and their performance, reliability, and operational health.
• Strong cross‑functional partnership skills, especially with Product and Commercial stakeholders.
• Clear, proactive communication and a track record of navigating ambiguity, tradeoffs, and competing priorities.
• Commitment to high execution bar and growing engineers and engineering managers.
• Excitement about Cedar’s mission and improving healthcare financial experience.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with staff and principal engineers to lead the Payments Pillar through evolution of Cedar’s Payments architecture.
• Lead, coach and develop Engineering Managers and ICs across the Pillar.
• Establish and improve metrics and instrumentation to understand performance across payment features.
• Balance new payment capabilities and performance with foundational architecture and operational investments.
• Own the engineering relationship and outcomes for third‑party vendor integrations.
• Identify opportunities and lead initiatives enabling multiple teams to deliver results more effectively.
