Column is building a modern payment operations function from the ground up. You will scale processes, automate workflows, and provide white‑glove support for payment inquiries spanning ACH, wires, RTP, FedNow, and checks.

This role reports to the Head of Solutions Engineering and is based in the Presidio office in San Francisco with 3+ days in person. You’ll design systems to automate workloads, measure performance, and partner with engineering, compliance, and risk teams to ensure timely,

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Lightweight technical skills (SQL, Javascript, Python) with willingness to learn quickly/use AI.
• Familiarity with NACHA rules, wire transfers, and payment processing concepts.

Mansioni

• Design and implement systems to optimize, automate, and scale our operational workload using Retool, SQL, Python, and Javascript.
• Operate and improve Column’s end-to-end payment operations processes across ACH, wire, RTP, FedNow, and checks.
• Manage the payment operations queue—triaging, investigating, and resolving inquiries from customers and banks.
• Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor operations health and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Business, Compliance, Risk, and Customer teams to ensure accurate, compliant issue resolution.
