Job summary

Penta­sia is seeking a hands-on Payments Manager to lead payment operations, fraud and risk controls in New Jersey’s regulated iGaming market. You will oversee reconciliations, reporting, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with Finance, Compliance, Operations, and IT.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in payments/fraud/AML, 1+ year in iGaming, and strong analytical skills. On-site role with potential for growth in a growing, tech-driven business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in payments, fraud, AML, risk, or related analytical role.
• 1+ year of experience in iGaming.
• Knowledge of payment operations, fraud controls, chargebacks, KYC, and regulated reporting.
• Understanding of financial reconciliation and automated reconciliation/reporting processes.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration across teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• New Jersey residency and work location required.
• Ability to obtain New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement licenses/approvals.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day payment operations and fraud prevention.
• Strengthening regulatory compliance and transaction performance.
• Managing automated reconciliation, reporting, and daily payment requirements.
• Analyzing transaction performance, chargebacks, fraud trends, and customer payment behavior.
• Configuring fraud rules and payment checks to improve approvals while minimizing losses.
• Investigating customer activity and managing chargebacks with case resolution.
• Coordinating AML reviews and regulatory reporting with Compliance.
• Overseeing KYC workflows and accurate customer verifications.
• Collaborating with Product/IT to test payment flows and fraud-detection tools.
• Supporting customer-facing teams with complex payment inquiries.
• Producing internal reporting on payment gateways, chargebacks, fraud, and metrics.
