Qualifications

• 3+ years backend TypeScript/Node in production.
• Payments or billing experience preferred.
• Postgres schema design and queries.
• Willingness to learn Go.
• Testing-minded by instinct.
• AI-native workflow: use AI-assisted engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Build the money logic for subscriptions, renewals, and credits.
• Guard the signal: ensure payment events gate fulfillment and webhook reliability.
• Integrate with payment processors and orchestration APIs, handling auth/capture, refunds, retries.
• Test like it's load-bearing: automated coverage and edge cases.
• Close the loop when needed: lightweight frontend touch is a plus, not required.
