Job summary

The City of New York’s Department of Correction is seeking a Payments Analyst within the Budget / Finance Division to oversee vendor payments, verify invoices, and maintain meticulous data and document records.

Reporting to the Director of Budget / Financial Services, the analyst will manage payment vouchers, track documents, and support preparation of reports and materials for leadership review.

Qualifications

• Payment technology knowledge is preferred.
• Data analysis skills are essential.
• Experience with payment systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Verify invoices for accuracy against purchase orders.
• Create and approve payment vouchers for reimbursement.
• Develop tracking mechanisms for data and documents.
• Identify and collect requested documents for agency needs.
• Review documents to ensure proper response to requests.
• Communicate via email and written correspondence.
