Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking an Operations Analyst – Accounts Payable to administer accounts payable activities and process transactions within the Operations Processing department at 333 West 34th Street, NY. The role reports to the Manager Accounts Payable and requires meticulous data handling in a public sector setting.

Responsibilities include data validation, invoice entry in PeopleSoft, document review, and timely inquiry resolution while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable or related finance function.
• Proficient in PeopleSoft or similar ERP.
• Strong written and verbal communication; confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Gather, validate, and maintain data inputs
• Enter transactions in PeopleSoft and the service request management tool
• Retrieve, index, and review scanned documents and forms
• Provide satisfactory customer service by handling inquiries
• Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and know when to escalate
• Support cyclical processing and period-end activities
• Complete assignments as delegated by the Supervisor
• Adhere to MTA and BSC policies and procedures
• Track and report the status of work
• Maintain knowledge and participate in training to develop skills
• Support other team members as appropriate
• Ensure assignments meet SLA targets and budgets
• Identify and document process improvements and participate in user groups
