Andrews Federal Credit Union is seeking a Payment Systems Specialist in Suitland, MD. The role involves processing deposits and remittance activity, balancing files, and monitoring RDC images.

You will maintain production logs and participate in cross-training and project implementations. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years in a financial institution, strong math and Microsoft Office skills, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or higher.
• 2–3 years of financial institution experience preferred, especially ACH/back office payments.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products and spreadsheet skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process Deposits, Consumer Loan and Mortgage Remittance processing.
• Balance and settle remittance extract and posting files; post general ledger entries.
• Monitor and review Mobile Deposit checks; approve or return unacceptable images within timeframe.
• Maintain daily production tracking reports/logs as required.
• Participate in cross-training and assigned project implementations.
• Maintain knowledge proficiency of equipment application resources.
• Serve as a primary source for inquiries pertaining to assigned tasks.
• Review, edit and publish new procedures reflecting changes.
• Respond to Synapsys Events, DTS and other Payment Systems inquiries.
• Support Disaster Recovery as needed; comply with regulations and company policies.
