Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking an IBS Payment Specialist I in Decatur, AL. You will process customer payments via checks, ACH, wire, online, and card methods, using OCR and core systems, and research payments for refunds when needed.

Responsibilities include posting payments, assisting with mail room duties, handling refunds, and communicating with customers to resolve payment questions while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Data entry and/or payment processing experience preferred.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Verify and post electronic and manual payments with OCR assistance.
• Assist in mail room activities: open, sort, scan checks.
• Prepare refunds and transfers of invoices and charge backs with approvals.
• Respond to customer inquiries about payment applications.
• Maintain client relations and support sales efforts when needed.
• Operate standard office equipment.
