Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking a Payment Operations Team Lead in Henderson, NV to oversee daily payment processing across rails, ensure service levels and regulatory compliance, and mentor a team of specialists and analysts. You will coordinate workflows, manage escalations, and partner with Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Treasury Management to resolve issues, drive performance, and improve controls.

Strong leadership and banking operations knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Financial Services, Payment Operations, Banking Operations or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations and industry standards.
• Experience leading or coordinating payment operations workflow across multiple rails.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day payment processing activities across multiple rails to meet service levels.
• Coordinate, assign, and monitor daily work and balance workloads for the team.
• Serve as primary escalation point for complex issues and near-cutoff decisions.
• Provide coaching, training, and quality oversight to team members.
• Support audits, reporting, and control testing; contribute to process improvements.
