Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Banking Operations Business Analyst to support enterprise initiatives in payments and digital space. You will act as a Functional SME, defining requirements, coordinating testing, and driving process improvements across regulatory and operational areas.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors, document workflows, support audits, and contribute to automation and knowledge transfer in Banking Operations Support. CityScape, Phoenix on-site role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in treasury, banking, or deposit operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of general banking operations and regulatory obligations.
• Experience documenting workflows and testing projects.
• Knowledge of payments types (ACH, Wires, SWIFT, RTP) and API banking.

Responsibilities

• Write business unit requirements for projects and regulatory changes.
• Facilitate meetings and drive result-oriented discussions.
• Lead testing activities and document results, defects, and readiness.
• Serve as functional lead on smaller projects and prepare status communications.
• Analyze banking operations processes, identify gaps, and propose improvements.
• Coordinate with Tax, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit, IT, and vendors to resolve dependencies.
