Job description

Seeking a detail-oriented Payment Analyst / Payment Investigations Analyst with hands-on experience in SWIFT payments, payment investigations, reconciliations, and correspondent banking operations. The role will handle payment exceptions, investigations, Nostro reconciliations, and coordination with internal and external banking partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate SWIFT payment inquiries involving MT103, MT202, MT110, MT199, MT299 and related messages.
• Perform end-to-end payment investigations and identify root causes.
• Communicate with correspondent/external banks through SWIFT and client systems.
• Follow up on payment confirmations, recalls, beneficiary information, and transaction resolution.
• Coordinate with Operations, Treasury, Settlements, Compliance, and Customer Service teams.
• Perform Nostro account reconciliations and clear outstanding debit/credit entries.
• Monitor payment queues and investigation cases against SLA, quality, and productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with operational controls, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare MIS/KPI reports and maintain accurate investigation documentation.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
