Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks an Electronics Engineer – Payloads Subsystems in San Diego, CA or Palmdale, CA. The role focuses on providing engineering support for payloads subsystems within an IPT, reporting to the technical lead and program manager.

The candidate will handle readiness reviews, test planning, data validation, and cross-functional coordination with suppliers and engineers. On-site work only, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics with 2+ years of related engineering experience; or a Master’s degree with related experience.
• Practical experience working with payload systems.
• Technical development and systems integration experience.
• Experience with managing suppliers.
• Must have an active US Government Top-Secret Clearance (or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government SCI clearance.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for readiness reviews, site training, test briefs and debriefs, and coordinate security with test directors.
• Analyze test logs and validate data, troubleshoot hardware and software in a lab setting.
• Support pre-test activities including system checkout and test planning to meet objectives.
• Coordinate anomalies with engineering and supplier SMEs, review service bulletins and discrepancy reports.
