Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks an Electronics Engineer – Payloads Subsystems to support an on-site payloads program in San Diego, CA or Palmdale, CA. The engineer will work within an IPT, reporting to the engineering lead and program manager, providing key subsystems support.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-test activities, coordination with suppliers, and ensuring operation within specifications. A Top-Secret clearance and SCI/SAP eligibility are required or achievable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 2 years of related engineering experience, or a Master’s in STEM with related experience.
• Practical experience with payload systems and systems integration.
• Experience managing suppliers.
• Active US Government Top-Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government SCI clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable timeframe as determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Meeting support: readiness reviews, site training, test briefs and debriefs, security coordination.
• Post-test support: review, analysis, defect investigation, and data validation.
• Pre-test support: system checkout and test planning to meet objectives and specs.
• Coordinate anomalies with engineering and suppliers; review service bulletins and discrepancy reports.
