Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rancho Bernardo, CA is seeking a Principal Electronics Payloads Subsystems Engineer to join our Avionics Integration Organization. You will provide key engineering support for a payloads subsystem and report directly to the subsystem engineering technical lead and program manager.

A STEM degree and 3–5 years of related experience are typical; active Top Secret clearance is required with SCI and SAP eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of related engineering experience; Master’s with 3+ years; PhD with 1+ year.
• Practical experience working with payload systems.
• Technical development and systems integration experience.
• Experience with managing suppliers.
• Active US Government Top Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within past 6 years or Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government SCI clearance and SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Meetings and readiness reviews, site-specific training, test briefs and debriefs, security coordination.
• Post-test review and defect investigation of test logs, hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Pre-test support including test planning to ensure objectives and specs are met.
• Coordinate anomalies with engineering and supplier SMEs; review service bulletins and discrepancy reports.
