Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus in Glen Ellyn, IL is seeking a Shift Lead to guide daily store operations, supervise teammates, and deliver outstanding neighborly service to PSP neighbors.

You will partner with store team leaders, provide leadership coverage up to four days weekly, ensure cleanliness, animal care, safety and security, and manage back-office tasks such as signs and price updates. This full-time role offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Able to operate forklift and lift up to 50 lb.
• Must be 18+ years old and pass background check.
• Flexible schedules and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and reinforce PSP standards.
• Provide leadership coverage up to four times a week.
• Ensure cleanliness, animal care, safety and security.
• Handle back-office tasks like signs and price updates.
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding of team members.
• Suggest improvements for community engagement or store performance.
• Step in as manager-on-duty when needed.
