Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Store Shift Supervisor to lead customer-facing service and daily operations in our neighborhood store. You will guide teammates, reinforce PSP standards, and ensure a friendly, neighborly shopping experience for pets and their people.

We value hands-on leadership, equipment familiarity, and a willingness to perform pet-care tasks like nail trims, while maintaining store safety and cleanliness. Join us and grow with a company that treats employees like family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of retail experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong sales and customer service skills are a must.
• Ability to operate all equipment, including a forklift, to run the store is important.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing products and provide neighborly service.
• Greet weekly regulars and engage with customers.
• Demonstrate water testing in fish tanks for customers.
• Reinforce daily operational procedures and performance expectations.
• Assist store leaders with back office tasks and signage.
• Involvement in store recruiting, onboarding and team member development.
• Communicate opportunities to improve community engagement or store performance to leaders.
• Act as team member when not acting as manager-on-duty.
• Willingness to perform nail trims on pets.
