Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Store Shift Supervisor to lead neighborly service and daily store operations. You will collaborate with store leaders to reinforce PSP standards, provide occasional leadership coverage, and uphold policies on cleanliness, animal care, and safety.

The role supports back-office procedures, staff onboarding, and community engagement initiatives while ensuring exceptional customer experiences. A minimum of 2 years in retail is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of retail experience.
• Strong sales and customer service skills essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team and reinforce PSP standards and routines.
• Provide leadership coverage up to four days per week.
• Adhere to cleanliness, animal care, safety and security policies.
• Learn back office tasks: signs, price updates, cashier records.
• Participate in recruiting, onboarding and staff development.
• Suggest improvements for community engagement and store performance.
• Act as team member when manager-on-duty is unavailable; nail trims as needed.
