Job summary

The City of Montrose is seeking a Facilities/Pavilion Technician to maintain the Pavilion building, assist with event setup, and support sound and lighting operations during performances.

Responsibilities include maintaining mechanical systems, providing excellent customer service, and coordinating event production with the Pavilion Manager. Flexible schedule is required, with potential early mornings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience in a civic/performing arts center or similar.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule including mornings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pavilion Manager in staffing for events (lighting, sound, set-up, customer service).
• Coordinate production and execution of Pavilion events.
• Maintain cleanliness of Pavilion facilities and grounds.
• Perform grounds maintenance, setup, and event support tasks.
• Provide high level customer service to Pavilion users during events.
• Maintain and repair Pavilion mechanical systems (heating, electrical, AC) and related tools. Inspect equipment.
• Report major issues requiring outside help to Pavilion Manager.
• Operate light and sound equipment during events and assist clients with system usage.
