Job summary

Montana Historical Society seeks an Event AV Support Technician to handle setup, operation, and disassembly of AV systems for live events, including streaming and hybrid formats.

You will conduct sound checks, troubleshoot in real time, and collaborate with clients and staff to ensure smooth productions while maintaining equipment and supporting postproduction tasks per accessibility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in information technology, video production or related field.
• Two years of relevant experience supporting multimedia productions and events.
• Certifications such as CTS or ANP through AVIXA may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate audio and video equipment for live events, including streaming and conferencing.
• Create documentation, provide training, and troubleshoot technical issues in real time.
• Maintain inventory and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Coordinate pre-production activities with clients and staff, including setting up for events.
• Edit, organize, and publish accessible multimedia content for multiple platforms.
