Job summary

Montrose Recreation District seeks a part-time maintenance technician to service indoor and outdoor facilities, perform preventative work, and assist with groundskeeping and repairs.

The role requires basic maintenance knowledge, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. Training and safety compliance are emphasized, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiar with general maintenance techniques related to buildings and grounds.
• Some knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on indoor and outdoor facilities.
• Clean interior/exterior areas, machinery, and equipment.
• Trim landscaping around sidewalks, gutters, and trees.
• Complete administrative duties and report maintenance to supervisor.
• Comply with safety and health regulations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and report needs to supervisor.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and diagnose issues.
• Work with contracted vendors.
• Collect trash and clean restrooms.
